This Privacy Policy explains how USSD Pad (“USSD Pad”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the USSD Pad mobile application, website, platform portal, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Information we collect

Account and profile information

When you create a platform account or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, business details, and authentication credentials.

Service and transaction data

We process USSD session data, dialed codes, order references, package selections, phone numbers used for fulfillment, payment status, and related API/webhook payloads needed to operate the Services.

Device and usage information

The mobile app and website may collect device type, operating system, app version, IP address, log data, and approximate usage analytics to maintain security and improve performance.

Payment information

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (such as Paystack or Hubtel). We receive payment status and references; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

2. How we use information

• Provide, operate, and improve the USSD Pad app and platform portal
• Route USSD sessions, process orders, and attribute activity to platforms and resellers
• Authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent fraud or abuse
• Send transactional messages about orders, billing, security, or account changes
• Respond to support requests and legal obligations

3. How we share information

We may share information with:

• Platform operators and resellers — as needed to fulfill USSD sessions and orders you initiate
• Payment processors and infrastructure providers — to process payments and host the Services
• Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data retention

We retain account, order, and session records for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal/accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When an account is deleted, we remove or anonymize personal data as described on our Account Deletion page, except where retention is required by law.

5. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including access controls and encrypted transport (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, or ask questions about our processing. Platform operators can manage profile data in the portal. App and account deletion instructions are available at https://ussdpad.com/account-deletion.

8. International processing

We may process and store information in Ghana and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Services, you understand your information may be transferred to those locations.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
